Grassroots Real-Time Direct Representation

Real-time grassroots direct democratic representation is a new form a democracy that can be created by the citizens of the world to work in conjunction with the already existing government institutions.

The key difference is that individuals choose their own representatives directly and can choose anybody they want.  More importantly if they feel that their representative isn’t making correct decisions, they can change their representative anytime they want in real-time.

The main reason for creating this system is that it will directly create a communication and representation network to make decisions collectively between people on a grassroots level.  It is completely bottom up, and directly tracks who is representing you, and you can always change your representative.  With our current political system, if your candidate looses you no longer have anyone directly representing you and your needs anymore, but with this new system, you are always represented by the person who is

All you have to do to get started is choose your representative, and you can choose anybody.  Its that simple.  Choose your representative by clicking here. Some people might want to choose their neighbor, some people their already existing elected representative, and some people might choose someone famous.

What happens next is an organic and evolutionary process.  Depending on how many people get involved and how many people choose the same person as their representative, but the key is that we can create an entirely new representative decision making system for the entire world instantly, all that needs to happen is people just choose their representative and it all clicks together.

Obviously there are a lot of details that can be worked out, and unlike our current election systems this system is completely customizable for each and every person depending on their needs.  More information will come with the details of how this can all work, but the important part is the vision and individuals like you getting involved by choosing your representative.

The legitimacy of this system will be based on verification.  The more public people are about who they choose as their representative, and the decision making process, the more legitimacy the entire system gets.  So everyone is encouraged to choose to public announce there representative so that any third party organization can verify the legitimacy of the number of people who support any given representative.
